About the Artist

Kaiser Suidan hails from Milford, Michigan, where he grew up in a lively household as one of six brothers and one sister, rooted in first-generation Lebanese heritage. His early connection to the land—gardening, nurturing growth, and embracing organic forms—sparked a fascination with clay and transformation. His artistic journey took off in junior high and carried through high school, where he received numerous awards for his ceramic work. A full scholarship to the College of Creative Studies in Detroit followed, and he graduated with honors in 1993. Working from a modest basement studio over two decades ago, Kaiser has grown far beyond that setting. His evolution spans roles as artist, entrepreneur, gallery-owner, curator, instructor, and mentor. Although his roots remain firmly in clay, his creative terrain has expanded into diverse mediums.
