Tori Kelley
About the Artist
Dr. Tori Kelley is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work sits at the crossroads of art, psychology, and healing. Working in pastels, mixed media, and photography, she creates expressive, often whimsical compositions that explore resilience, vulnerability, and the lived experience of women navigating a male-dominated world. Drawing from her own journey as a trauma survivor, Kelley’s work is deeply shaped by the #MeToo movement and a belief in art as a powerful catalyst for connection, compassion, and transformation. Holding both a PhD in Counseling and an MFA, Kelley brings a rare depth of insight to her practice. She is the founder and president of Central Florida Mental Health, where she integrates traditional therapeutic approaches with creative resilience methods grounded in neuroplasticity. Her artistic practice began in earnest in 2014, when she discovered that art-making could access emotional truths beyond the reach of language alone. Embracing imperfection and intuition, she approaches the canvas as a space for release rather than control, allowing each work to emerge organically. Kelley’s work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, where she received the Gold Award for Excellence at the Japan International Art Exchange Exhibition. Additional exhibitions include the Modern Art Museum of Yerevan and the Sasse Museum in California, with works held in permanent collections and clinical spaces alike. As both an artist and educator, she continues to demonstrate how creativity can serve as a profound tool for healing, reflection, and human connection.
